Curtis’s House
We have all discussed as a group that when the chorus plays, “In your head…dou, dou, dou”, the videos setting will be inside this house with a victim inside who has suffered against Domestic Violence. The victim will be sitting on the floor with his/her hands on their head while terrified. We’ve discussed this because in the lyrics the band sings the words “What’s in your head, in your head, Zombie, zombie, zombie?”, the word ‘Zombie’ can imply to the Abuser and the words ‘In your head’ can imply that the abuser is in the victim’s head, which is upsetting them. In addition, most domestic abuse takes place behind doors because it is hidden from the wider world. Therefore, this is a good location for our video.

Epsom Downs (Field)
The field is isolated, so this can be a good place for the victim to let all their frustrations out without fear of the abuser.
Permission
This field is local and belongs to the Epsom council, so we would need permission from the council to be able to film in that area. We would also need need to be aware if there is a horse race playing at that pacific time of us filming (which we wouldn’t even be filming during anyway).
Health and Safety issues include:
- Uneven ground which will make it harder to keep the tripod steady.
- There is a steep hill on the Downs, this means that we need to be careful with not only ourselves, but also the equipment that we will be using for our short film.
- We need to be careful to not film, or stand near/on the path as cars do drive on it at times.
Lyrical Connotations
“Another mother's breaking, Heart is taking over. And the violence causes silence, We must be mistaken.”
With these lyrics we have decided that the Downs will be the best location for this part of the song, the reason being is that the victim will be arriving to this location in solitude and the mother’s breaking line can be referred to coming here to get away from it all and the causes silence line would indicate her silence to the matter all alone with no one to help her.
Budget
As this is a public field, we will not need to pay for any permission, or to actually gain access to the field. The only thing we would need to pay for, but most likely would not need to use anyway, is transport to get there.
